Let's forget for a while about the morality of defections. That topic would be debated till the cows come home with no end in sight, if we were to really go into that.
We'll leave that for another day, another post. It's about the rumors of defections in Perak recently about the two PKR ADUNS going over to BN.
Here I'm going to list down the Top 5 reasons the PKR guys in Perak, Behrang assemblyperson Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi and Changkat Jering assemblyperson Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu, should NOT even think about turning over to the dark side, never mind discuss that topic with anybody:
5. Hope. The rakyat voted for you because they want change. Your constituents will never forgive you if you turn your backs on them at this most critical hour, when we are vying to whack BN in other states as well as at the Federal level.
4. Love. Yes there may be lots of money and perks for you. There might even be an EXCO post or two thrown in the bag. Hell, the BN chaps might even sell their mothers to you if the need be. But it's our children, and our children's children you should think about. If you can resist these temptations, then truly, you are there to serve your people. What kind of future do you want for them?
3. Guts. Turning to join BN shows you are a coward. So what's a little threat of jail time and hardship for corruption? All the top Pakatan leaders went to jail in the name of Justice. If you are truly clean, then there is nothing to be afraid of. Besides, you knew the risk when you joined PKR and ran for election. Be brave, be strong, be patient and the rakyat will stand with you, hearts and soul.
2. Responsibility. The BN government is corrupt, dirty and is just plainly full of shit (for lack of more civilized words). The whole world knows that. I'm sure you guys do too. So to join them is to be dirty and full of shit yourself.
1. Far sightedness. BN is in disarray. They are the furthest thing from being a united front. Most of all, they are going to lose every single by-election from now until the next GE. And when it comes to that, they will lose the Federal Goverment as well. Which side would you rather be on then?

Shall it be six?
In the bag - Kelantan, Selangor, Perak, , Kedah
Up next - Negri?
Still to come - Sarawak, Federal Gov?
As it stands now in the Negri DUN - BN 21, PR 15
If the four jumps it will be BN 17, PR 19!
And what are the rest of us (including you frogs) waiting for?
(who's next?)

Cow shit by any other name is still cow shit!
Here's the current headline at mkini
Another World's First by Boleh land!
Well at least now there's 'action' at both ends of the political spectrum.
'MACC officers punched and kicked me' - An Umno division leader files a police report claiming that he was abused during his four-day detention at the MACC Pahang headquarters in Kuantan.
-
'Forced to strip naked and roll on the floor' 'They threatened to arrest and strip my wife'
Another World's First by Boleh land!
Well at least now there's 'action' at both ends of the political spectrum.
The door is open but...
Herein lies the problem. As learned figures like Pete (mt.m2day.org) frequently laments, we lost march the 8th by 300000 votes. Yes, a mere 300k out of 10 million voters., which may seem much. but the fact is, there are 26 going on 27 million of us and 50% at least are of voting age.
So by all estimates or as they say in my hometown (lakia sengg - like the dayaks count) there are easily 2 - 3 million of us who have not bothered to register as voters. People I know have not bothered to register. And the frequent anwers in get include,
1. No time la.
2. What's my 1 vote?
(would this bunch even bother to register?)
Well well, here's news.
1. You can register to vote at any SPR or election commission office.
2. you 1 vote may be what makes or breaks a regime change in the next elections. 300k votes imagine that and there are 3 million of us who hadn't bothered to even register. And it's never too early to register. (2 day before announcing the 8th March elections or rather, the dissolution of the previous Parliament, Pat Lah said there's not gonna be an election soon) so one may be just around the corner and you won't want to miss this biggie!

This is our one democratic right that has not been stepped on by the Bien goons, the one right the still enjoy. Just ask the North Koreans or even the Hongkies how they'd die for universal suffrage which 3 million of us don't bother with. For god's sake register.
Who you vote or even if you vote is you choice and yours only!

Top ten reasons more will jump
Here's the top ten reasons that more members of Parliament and ADUNs will jump from BN to Pakatan Rakyat:
10. After Ngemah, Permatang Pauh, Kuala Terengganu and Bota, it is obvious that the BN ship is sinking, and sinking fast. Any BN YBs worth his or her salt would be smart enough to see this.
9. MIC has gone down the drain. Gerakan is extinct. MCA will follow their Gerakan brothers shortly. PPP is non existing to start with, so UMNO will not be able to survive their own internal squabbles, much less the coalition's collective failure.
8. The losing faction in the inevitable oncoming war between Pak Lah and Najib will not be all too happy about getting kicked in the butt, so some will definitely defect, citing various reasons of course.
7. UMNO have lost the support of the Malays (as shown in the KT by-election), MCA is shunned by the Chinese en mass, and Indians in Malaysia knows MIC is ripping them off at every chance. The only viable alternative for MPs wanting to retain their seats is to jump.
6. BN have a weak leadership. May it be a leader that's corrupt, weak, sleepy or murderous perhaps, they all carry baggage. The 21 century politics demands change. They demand cleanliness, efficiency and above else, fairness. In BN, those leadership qualities are practically non existent.
5. At this rate of gross national denial, we might just join the likes of Zimbabwe , Myanmar and Uncle Kim Jong Il's fiefdom.
4. As frogs go, frog are amongst the best creatures of god's creation in telling the weather or rather a change in weather..in this case, change in politcal climate. Seen any frogs jumping 'the other way' lately?
3. Apart from ZanuPF and PAP AMNOOOOO is probably the only remaining regime to rule a country since independence without any regard for justice, equality and brotherhood. That's why their such a bunch of smucks and that's why they must go, the people willing!
2. BN is The only Government where to arrest you without trial is to "protect" you!
1. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. YAB Lim Guan Eng. Tok Guru Nik Aziz and last but the best of all Raja Petra Kamaludin or simply PETE!

Why why and why again......
The ultimate and probably sole purpose of this new blog being to educate, facilitate, articulate and inculcate the maturity in thinking of the citizens of this now god-foresaken federation..i.e. the Rakyat into having the freedom to choose and the freedom after choosing our choice of the federal powers that be.
At times the language and the grammar may not be right up there in Oxford, Oxbridge or Oxnmno, neither will the essays win any bookers or pulitzers but make no mistake, the aim is clear than what a fish out of water wants!
Hence of views and contribution of similar objective is very welcome, or like they say in the pasar malam, veli de velcome.
